Cucumbers are not talked about as widely as other vegetables, but they have a lot to offer! Cucumbers have a unique combo of nutrients that are beneficial antioxidents, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer benefits.

• Cucmbers are 95% water, an excellent hydrating food for the summer.

• Cucumbers contain most of the vitamins you need every day, just one cucumber contains Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Zinc.

• Eliminated bad breath by killing bacteria, just press a slice to the roof of your mouth for 30 seconds.

• Use cucumbers as an afternoon pick me up, they B vitamins, and carbs they contain will give you a natural boost.

Helpful Hint: Most all cucumbers are waxed, If the cucumbers are organically grown then leaving the skin in tact is the best way to preserve the nutrients when consuming. Mass produced cucumbers that are waxed contain chemicals in the wax. Removing the skin would be beneficial with these types. But as a whole the cucumber skin and seeds are very healthy!
